How did he win
Not yet, he hasn't! Let's not be hasty!
McCain now has enough "pledged delegates" to win the nomination on the first ballot at the Republican Convention this summer. That's sort of like holding a winning lottery ticket... but not yet having the prize money in your pocket.
(Hmmm... maybe for THIS election year, it isn't QUITE like holding a winning lottery ticket.)
